WWE Takes The Long Way To Get To Wrestlemania

We are on the road to Wrestlemania ... well sort of. It feels like we pulled out of the driveway went through town to get to the highway that takes us to the main road that takes us to Mania and just before we get there we have to stop at the gas station to refuel, someone's got to go to the bathroom, get some snacks and road pops ... and then we'll be on be on our way.

With the Royal Rumble over every wrestling fan gets excited and starts to look forward to Wrestlemania. People start predicting the match card pretty much based off of what happened at the Rumble and a lot of the time they're wrong. But that's cool, it's just part of being a fan.

The one thing you'll figure out about me is that I like to just watch and wait to see how things play out first and then react, unless it's the Browns and the noise becomes too much to ignore before anything actually happens. To me it's a waste of energy to fantasy book storylines and matches for what I want to see, it's a great way to get disappointed at something just because it didn't turn out how you personally wanted it to. I feel like it's that way for a lot of things these days, or I'm just old and you can get the hell off my lawn.

Damn ... I am getting old.

Meanwhile I like that the fact that Triple-H and company are keeping a lot of things close to the vest and leaves a lot of stroies left to still flesh out especially at the top of the card with Cody, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley.

It seems like this happens every year around this time that fans start getting antsy, like the kid in the backseat of the car already asking how much longer, because there's only 2 or 3 matches that are official so people start filling in all the blanks without realizing there's 2 months still to go before we get to the grandaddy of them all.

Here's some things to keep in mind and remember.

  • It's only the middle of February. I don't know where you're located but it's freezing where I'm at. At least come Wrestlemania the temps should be at least above freezing.

  • St. Patrick's Day will have happened, some may survive.

  • March Maddness will have come and gone.

  • MLB Baseball will already be about a month into it's season.

  • The NBA Season will be over and as of right now we're only at the All-Star break.

  • The Masters golf tournament will also have already happened.

  • NLF Draft will be just a few days after Mania. There's still 2 more weeks until the combine.

The point is there is a long, long way to go before we get to Wrestlemania. Yes, it does seem like WWE is taking the long way to get there ... THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE!

Just buckle up, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Not because The Rock said so but because you just should. But we all know you'll just make up your own Mania on 2K then get mad about it because it didn't meet whatever your great expectations you had in your head.

You know what ... you do you, I guess. I'm just trying to help some of you out.
